Liverpool Reclaim Top Spot As Front Three Shine: Report Ratings & Talking Points as Liverpool Win 3-0 Against Bournemouth

Liverpool are back at top of the Premier League table on Saturday afternoon as thrashed Cherries 3-0 at Anfield.

The Reds took the lead in early stages of the game, as Sadio Mane headed home James Milner’s cross to break the deadlock on 24th minute of the game. Although the Senegalese was arguably offside, referee Anthony Taylor saw no problem and allowed the goal to stand as the linesman failed to identify as Mane was Fractions offside.

Georginio Wijnaldum doubled the Reds lead ten minutes later with a sumptuous finish with a lovely little, delicately lifting the ball over goalkeeper Artur Boruc head. It was only his second goal of the season, with his other headed goal coming in the 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.

With the pressure once again mounted on the title challengers  liverpool, once again Anfield raised to the occasion the Reds produced a class performance as they were at their very best attacking football.

It was a welcome return to winning ways in the premier league for the Reds, who controlled the game from the start and played some wonderful football throughout the game. Although City could be back at the top spot with a win over Chelsea on Sunday, it was a much needed victory for Reds in an enthralling title race.

There was so much individual quality from Liverpool and quick moment on the ball, but Roberto Firmino was the standout player in particular. He was fantastic in the link up play with Salah on the right flank and created so many chances for the Reds, assisting Salah’s goal as well in an excellent display from the Brazilian.
