Rahul Dravid – “THE WALL into HALL” of Fame

  • Rahul Dravid - “THE WALL into HALL” of Fame

Born on January 11, 1973. Played glorious cricket for the INDIA in which there are many valuable and remarkable Innings and very well known for his defence with the bat and considered as one of the all-time greats in test cricket with his trademark cover drives. All the hall of famers believed that they need a strong “WALL” in their hall of fame, so that they stay safe over there. Finally ICC brought in the 5th Indian cricketer into the Hall of fame and It’s none other than Rahul Dravid who is Very well known as the “THE WALL of the Cricket”.

Scored 95 in his debut against England in 1996 and he had a relentlessly rendered his services to the India and concluded his international career on the same English land by playing his last ODI and T20 in 2011. He is the 5th batsmen along with Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Brain Lara and Jacques Kallis with more than 10,000 runs in both Tests & ODI matches.

Dravid, known for his Patience, Determination and hard work. He was always a nightmare to the opponent bowlers. There are times when the Opponent Teams used plan strategy for Dravid and next for the team & there are situations where teams excluded Dravid as they have no solution to break this WALL. He is always there for the team whenever his team is in danger. Played a bunch of heroic innings, took responsibility as Captain and even took the crown of thorns on his head as Indian Wicket-Keeper though it is not his key area.

In early days of his career he struggled to perform in in limited overs cricket but his journey from that stage to the Captain of India was amazing. This transformation was purely Inspirational. Seen lot of ups & downs in his career but stood still as “THE WALL”.
